Dr Baker undertook undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge, (BA(Hons 1992) and St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, University of London (MBBS 1995). Obtained MRCP in 1998. Undertook post graduate radiology training programme at St Mary's Hospital, London from 1999 to 2004. FRCR in 2002. Body MRI fellowship at St Mary's Hospital 2004 to 2005.

Dr Baker specialises in general radiology, cross sectional imaging with CT, MRI and ultrasound with a specialist interest in Head and neck imaging. He performs ultrasound guided biopsy. He also reports musculoskeletal MRI and CT.

Dr Baker holds several professional memberships, including the Royal College of Radiologists and the British Society of Head and Neck Imaging. He has presented various posters at national and international meetings, and is also involved in teaching junior doctors.

Dr Baker has been a consultant in the NHS since 2005. He was appointed to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2017.
